Constraint of the Female Voice - Paintings

I'm currently exploring the constraint of the female voice. This project explores the text (or thoughts) that can constrain and responding to that with paint, layers, mixed media and collage. Thoughts are not always pleasant and this particular project uses uncomfortable and limiting thoughts that can get in the way of potential, impact confidence and keep women stuck in a narrative cycle.
